BYC RAIDERS
The BYC Raiders are a youth sports organization with a proud and enduring legacy in York City, serving the community for more than 75 years. More than just a sports program, the BYC Raiders are a family—a community-driven, nonprofit organization committed to shaping the future of York County’s youth.
The BYC Athletics Program empowers over 350 student-athletes through football, cheerleading, and basketball. While we value competition and success, our mission extends far beyond winning championships. Our primary focus is to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment where young people can grow, learn, and thrive through athletics.
Through sports, we instill essential life values such as discipline, self-esteem, physical fitness, perseverance, sportsmanship, and a strong emphasis on education. Guided by trained, dedicated, and experienced leaders, we work to positively influence the lives of our participants by offering a space where they feel supported, motivated, and empowered—both on and off the field.
Safety and development remain at the forefront of our mission. Our organization prioritizes upgrading protective equipment, enhancing training resources, and providing quality uniforms to ensure our athletes are properly equipped to succeed. In addition, several of our staff members are CPR and AED certified, with trained personnel on-site who are qualified to operate AED equipment. Our coaches also attend coaching clinics to stay current with best practices, safety standards, and player development techniques.
We deeply believe in the power of community and the importance of instilling strong core values in the next generation. This commitment is what has allowed the BYC Raiders to remain the longest-standing youth sports program in York City.
Join us in preserving a tradition that spans more than seven decades. By becoming part of the BYC family, you help turn today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders.
